Ruffino’s on the River Restaurant Renovation
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Serving up the area’s only Italian-Cajun fusion cuisine, the original Ruffino’s has been feeding Baton Rouge residents since 1998. In 2013, Pascal Architects worked with Ruffino’s owners Ruffin Rodrigue and Chef Peter Sclafani III to transform the interior and building envelope of an existing restaurant in Lafayette to create Ruffino’s on the River. Completing the design and construction in less than 45 days, Pascal Architects created a new entrance, designed a central meeting space, conditioned wine storage, and expanded the exterior with covered outdoor seating. The warm wood and leather finishes applied to the interior design help to build on the legacy of the Ruffino’s brand, while the new layout of the space improved efficiency and created a private, high-end dining experience for guests.
